Service Description

Teachers are doing an amazing job of forging their way through the jungle of post-COVID teaching. Flourish wants to give you a space and some tools to not only survive, but thrive in this jungle! Come for 90 minutes of a little bit of learning, and a lot of support and conversation. Stay (if you want) for some gentle yoga on us! Therapist, Sarah Clarke, MA LPCC has a wealth of experience in the overlapping fields of education and mental health and loves to support educators in maintaining or rediscovering their passion for teaching. Sarah believes that teachers are being asked to do too much with too little. Teachers can benefit from a “container” to put their emotional responses and the stressors from their experience of teaching. The Couch’s purpose is to provide teachers with both information about mental wellness and illness, as well as giving them advanced tools to reflect on their own teaching practice. Sarah believes in developing ones’ own skills through support, gentle coaching, and the power of intentional reflection. The Couch for Teachers is a 9 month commitment.
